This piece was made in collaboration with Chadd Lacy. DiSalvo carved a unicorn on the exterior of one of the sides of the narwhal, and the unicorn’s skeleton on the other side. Both unicorns share their horn with the narwhal, and there is an encased opal in the base of the horn.
This piece was published on the cover article of Miami New Times, Volume 31 No 17, in 2016.
